I will start by saying what a fantastic Ludlow Food Show again this year, we had such an amazing time and had another successful presentation.
A few very big thank you’s to pass on to hosts, Katie and Glynn from (Wot’s cooking) and also Lynn and Mike who were responsible for the liaison and set up of the stand at the inner bailey where we did our coffee talk & taster, which was within the castle itself. We really appreciated their help and all of our questions and intricate details were met with a speedy response, prior and during the show. Nothing was too big or small for these guys even on the damp and dreary start on Saturday, so they definitely brought the sunshine out over Shropshire, so another big thank you to you all from Danielle’s Coffee.
Danielle’s Coffee had an amazing time at last years show and was honoured to be part of this years even bigger show. We had started our preparation some months back after we had found out what the show would like us to provide for them this year, once we had our time frame to work off, which was a very rapid 30 minutes, as you can appreciate a 30 minute coffee talk is like blinking!! Talking about coffee is such a huge subject and is a very important part of our everyday lives. Therefore we decided this year to focus on the espresso machine and some of the stages a barista should go through to create the perfect espresso based drink, as to heighten awareness of what a consumer should expect from a coffee shop and the sights and sounds to look out for. We are very passionate about this, as like all traders at the show we want to raise the standards in the market and industry, we definitely achieved our aim as our enthusiastic crowd seemed to enjoy our talk and learnt numerous things even in this short time period.
We had a few questions in regards to the ever more popular home brewing, which we are delighted to talk about more than ever!! We can pass on our knowledge and products through our website to improve peoples experience whilst at home enjoying the art of home brewing methods. The end of our talk was concluded by a big mention of two of our customers who were trading at the show, (Drink Up) a big bright orange American van (Can not be missed, Literally), may I add also sell the best granola bars & Chocolate Brownies we have ever tasted!! Thank you Brian!! (The Coffee Cart) all the way from Hereford who’s queues never ended. Both Customers have created their own unique blends of coffee & as I mentioned in my talk I support them with on-going barista training. It was so great seeing you both there, we hope some of our audience came to say ‘Hi’ after our talk.
It was great to see some of our friends again this year who were also doing talks and had their respective stands, Charles from (Gun Dog Gin) thank you again for my favourite flavoured Gin !! Chase goes without saying we thoroughly enjoyed our G&T in the sun that afternoon. It was great to see Marcus Bean and say ‘Hi’ as everyone is very busy this time of year, even though it was a short and sweet hello in the main entrance and we had a trolley load of equipment. My final mention goes to Bevan Fleming @ (The extra virgin), an amazing guy with an amazing product, we had a brief but interesting chat about our recently purchased Coffee Roaster, ‘Watch this space’! (More about the Roaster coming soon!!)
Next year! That’s right, we are thinking of next year already and what to focus on? If you have anything you would like to see from us please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We really hope you enjoyed this year, as much as we did and we look forward to seeing you all again Soon!
